The Cardiometabolic Disorders (CMD) therapeutic area in Amgen Research is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Associate to join our drug discovery research team at our South San Francisco site.
The Senior Associate will be expected to work in the lab to develop and perform in vitro assays to understand physiology and pathophysiology relating to a variety of cardiometabolic disorders. By using a wide range of cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology techniques, the Senior Associate will have the opportunity to interact and work across different functions at Amgen.

Position Responsibilities

Develop and perform in vitro assays for potential drug targets

Conduct large scale biochemical and biophysical assays

Execute experimental plans with guidance, keep lab notes timely, and analyze data

Present data internally and communicate effectively with colleagues

Basic Qualifications

Master's degree or Master's degree completed by August 2020


Bachelor's degree and 2 years scientific experience

Preferred Qualifications

Master's or bachelor's degree at Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacology, or related fields

Hands-on experience with cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology techniques

Self-motivated with ability to work independently

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
